THE GEM MARKET HIGHLIGHTS
The Denver, CO gem and mineral show, September 11-13, this year
marked the start of our fall season and it is now in full motion for
us with lots of sales going on. This is also the same time that we
increase our inventories to meet the heavy demand for quality
gemstones by collectors and jewelers for their Christmas Season. We
have had several new shipments of gems come in from our cutters in
Bangkok and rough from Africa. Denver proved to be a great place to
find some bargains in rough and cut gems this year too.
Our Fall inventory includes: Tsavorite garnets from E. Africa, Mail
Garnets (these are a mixture of Andradite and Grossular, also know as
Grandite), Color Change Garnets, Chinese and Pakistan Peridot, White
Zircons in rounds and trillion shapes, several extremely well cut
Aquamarines from Brazil and a whole ton (well almost a ton) of custom
cut collector gems such as Color Change Diaspore, Burma Danburite,
Scheelite, Phenakite, Apatite, Chrysoberyl, Green Grossular Garnet,
Sphene from Madagascar and India, Kornerupine, Scapolite, Lazulite,
Brazilianite, Euclase, Amblygonoite and many more. Oh yes, and
finally some Pink Morganites from Brazil in fancy shapes.
Lighting at the trade shows has been a major problem for many years
and we now have the solution: it is called SoLux(. Finally, after
many months of testing every manufacturers' low voltage track
lighting fixtures and finding poor results we decided to manufacture
our own fixture that puts out 12 volts under load. We now can offer
the SoLux( Daylight Lamps with the proper fixture to solve your
lighting needs for gemstones and other lighting solutions. This is
one of the most exciting lighting options to become available in many
years and we are extremely excited to be part of this new revolution.
